Here's an interesting discussion on the conservative, partisan, former republican which is the same thing as a republican, democratic party blog Daily Kos.
It's about enemies, are the republicans the enemies of the democrats and vice versa. Specifically the diary is about Bernie Sanders not wanting to call the republicans his enemy while Hillary Clinton certainly will.

Evidently one of the ruling class media professional progressive media heroes of the Daily Kos partisan democrat former republican conservative blog members, Rachel "Because I'm Gay" Maddow, agrees with Clinton that the enemy label should be used.
OK, so the democrats are enemies of the republicans and the republicans are enemies of the democrats. Well, what about those that aren't democrats and republicans. Surveys/polls in recent years have indicated for the first time in U.S. history, more people identify as independents than do democrats and republicans combined.
Like me. And many of us consider the democrats and republicans similarly to how republicans feel about democrats and vice versa. We feel they're the enemy.
Rachel Maddow indicates, as did a solid majority on Daily Kos (63% in a poll) she favors this approach as opposed to the conciliatory, work across the aisle approach of President Obama, which in their opinion did not work very well. She stated that the Republicans have had no interest in working with Obama, have been "unreasonable adversaries", and "they see him as an enemy, they treat him as an enemy."
What these partisan sycophants of the two ruling class political parties, roughly equaling 30% of the voting public combined, don't see thru the trees is how the rest of the country sees them. The best example of how the public feels about the two party congressional system is the job approval poll results for Congress. The last number of years have seen at least an 80% disapproval rating reaching historical lows. Clearly, with the exception of those directly benefiting and those who made a mistake when answering the poll questions, the American public is fed up with it's "representatives" in Washington D.C.
And talk about who is seeing who as an enemy. What a pathetic joke. Our own government, as dictated by our ruling class, sees all of us as the enemy. The Department of Homeland Security, the Patriot Act, the NSA and other spying, the FBI, CIA, the fucking Militarized Police State, they all treat us as the enemy.
All of these assaults on our liberty, freedom and economic security have been a bipartisan effort from both ruling class political parties.
The Democratic party been just as responsible for the terrible wealth inequality situation we face, the jobs situation, the foreign affairs situation, the militarization situation, the national debt and budget deficit situation, and every other situation we have that is either going downhill for the serfs or uphill for the rich. It has refused to work with the serfs, has been an unreasonable adversary to the serfs, and sees the serfs as the enemy while treating the serfs as an enemy.
You want enemy, right back at ya, right Rachel?
