Joe's EB tonight (11/23) has a link to an apparently went-nowhere-much Anti-War Anti-Empire site at comehomeamerica.us. Don't think it allowed comments, but only poked around enough to see that all recent posts seem to be written by the same guy every so many days . . .
Folks at c99%, old and new, were out in full voice calling for "no more war" and "What do we do to stop this madness?" following the Paris attacks, which made me think now would be a good time for you to write a "The People Need Your Help" essay to post at c99%, asking for ideas about "what to do." I bet those who like the challenge of the essay could get JtC to "pin" it so it doesn't age off, then you could update it with ideas from commentators, at some point write a follow-up essay.
Just some thoughts. I've been typing this by thumb on my cell's notepad, because Google's blogspot commenting is impossibly tiny on mobile devices - only four lines of text visible at a time, those lines are shorter than what posts, and preview doesn't work. (Just sayin'.) So, let's see how this posts.

Hi dr, sorry for the delay in replying. I've lost my mojo and am trying to get it back. That's why I haven't been writing. I don't know about C99, They seem pretty tied to Bernie which means tied to the Democratic party (there's no way to separate them) so I'll probably have to wait until the Bernie thing plays out. If he loses or drops out and it's clear we'll have Clinton, then maybe things will change.
DeleteMaybe we'll see where they're headed when they tackle the name change thing and formalize an agenda.
It sucks having this knowledge (gained largely from the hard work of other people, bloggers, writers) with little ability to transfer it to others. Makes me want to stop my reading and researching lately. And I have toned it down. It's like, what's the use.
But we'll see. Long ago I compared this thing we do to a roller coaster, we have our ups and downs. I've just been in a down turn lately, it's bound to change. One day I might just write something and post it at C99 and see what happens.
